Authentication on the dApp interface

Accessing the MYKOBO dApp is designed to be simple and secure. Because MYKOBO is a **non-custodial** service, we do not use traditional email and password logins. Instead, your digital wallet serves as your unique identity.

How to "Log In"

Authentication on the dApp happens in two primary stages: connecting your wallet and verifying your identity.

Connecting Your Wallet

To enter the platform, you simply connect your compatible crypto wallet (such as Wallet Connect or Phantom).
  1. The Connection: When you click "Connect Wallet," the dApp requests permission to see your public wallet address.
  2. Ownership Proof: To ensure you are the actual owner of that wallet, you may be asked to sign a message. This is a secure, cost-free action that proves you hold the private keys to that address without exposing them.

Identity Verification (KYC)

While connecting your wallet grants you access to the interface, it does not automatically authorise you to move funds.
  1. The Link: Your wallet address is linked to your KYC (Know Your Customer) profile.
  2. Verification Status: Before you can deposit or withdraw fiat, you must complete the KYC process. Once verified, your wallet is "whitelisted," and you can begin swapping between fiat and stablecoins.

Managing Your Account

  1. Changing Wallets: If you wish to use a different wallet, simply disconnect your current one and connect the new address. Note that KYC verification is tied to the identity of the person, but the specific wallet used for transactions must be authorised.
  2. Security: You are always in control. Since you hold your own keys, MYKOBO cannot access your funds unless you explicitly sign a transaction to move them.
